I'm blaming Tracey for this one, ; )

You all know her...you all love her...and doesn't she create just the most delicious cards???!!!!! Yes, dear friends, it's allllllllll Tracey's fault. Putting the blame for this card squarely on her shoulders.... I know you're dying to hear the details, so grab your favorite beverage, sit down, and listen in....

Well! I was perusing my blog list one day, last Friday to be exact, when I clicked on Tracey's blog...In My Creative Opinion. There I sat, practically drooling over the amazing card she'd created. My heart beat a little faster. Sweat began to form under my bangs. I could feel my resolve crumbling. You see, I'd resolved NOT to make any more crafting supplies purchases for the whole month of July. THE. WHOLE. MONTH. The next thing I knew, I was clicking the "add to cart" button over at PTI. Oh woe is me. Then right after I'd made my purchases, a smidgen of guilt began to creep in...not enough to cancel the order mind you, but a teensy squeensy bit. I had to wait until yesterday for my order to arrive. A little more guilt. DH got the mail. "Oh that's just a little something I needed.....," I said, voice trailing off. But the story doesn't quite end here. Nope. And here's where Tracey gets the blame... When PTI sends you your order, they slip a little goodie into the box. So besides the two stamp sets and die I ordered there was this journal card tucked all nicely in with my brand-new wonderful goodies. Stay with me now....And over at Muse, where I do like to play, the lovely and talented Therese Calvird made this delightfully wonderful card. I worked and worked and worked and worked at it, but Mr. Mojo wasn't cooperating; not one iota. THEN.....I picked up the journaling card. Oh. My. Goodness. So, because Tracey made an amazing card, and forced my resolve to completely and totally crumble, I placed an order to PTI which included the journal card I'm using for my take on the Muse! And that's why you've had to read this long post before seeing any cards! Go ahead, blame Tracey...

And now the moment you've all been waiting for...or did you skip the reading part and head straight to the card? No matter...! ; )

As you've (hopefully) read by now, the entire front of the card is a PTI journal card. Except for the sentiment, which is WPlus9, and the ink is PTI. I also added the MME three enamel dots. IRL, it's a bit softer, but little cooperation with the lighting and editing...*sigh*

BTW, I hope you know that this post was all in good fun. Tracey is a wonderful person, and maybe I should have said "inspired" rather than "blame," but then it wouldn't have been as much fun to write! Be sure you head over to her blog and take a peek at the wonders you'll find there. She's brilliant!

BTW2, Thanks to all of you who voted for my last Muse card! An HM is definitely an honor. : ) and thank you all so much!

BEV BEV BEV!!! Feel free to blame me anytime sunshine! I so thoroughly enjoyed your post and you are far too kind. Your card is definitely in my books for jaw dropping gorgeous!...interrupt my ADHD which caused me to stop halfway through writing this comment to go try and find which Monthly Moments that journaling card is from, kicking myself for not buying Betsy's Market Kit. You inspire me Bev, I blame you for that! <3

Well, it's always good to find someone to blame! But I'm glad Tracey made such a gorgeous card which led you to place an order (why on earth did you resolve not to buy anything the whole month of July - try February - it's shorter) which led somehow to your stunning card that doesn't look anything like Tracey's card! Love to read about how some cards come about! Especially in your humorous way!

LOVE those little birds and have been trying to order them, but they're always out of stock =/
My DH got the mail after our long drive - of course there had to be an order in it, right? He asked if I'd ordered something while on vacation? NO! [But I had them hold the order until I was home] Love your cards, stories, & love of life, Bev. =] Michele

Yes, the blame should be squarely placed on Tracey's shoulders for "enabling" your shopping *grin* but the results of said shopping are squarely on YOUR shoulders! This is an absolutely gorgeous card, Bev - and if that's the consequence of your shopping, well, I say: shop away!! I know...enabling! Your bit about your husband getting the mail: hilarious! I'm a Tracey fan, too - and a you fan - and now I feel my resolve crumbling...May need to make a trip (ummm...second one) to Jo-Ann's at some point while we're here in Bend. There are sales, after all...and coupons...Seriously, a stunning card and an awesome, delightful post! Hugs~c

Wow! Love how you were inspired by those beautiful cards to create an equally beautiful and inspiring card. I'm loving the use of such bright happy colours. It's been so grey and blah here that is is wonderful to see these colours. Thanks, Bev! :)

Tracey may have tempted you but you created this gorgeous (and winning) card all by your lonesome. Congrats!
