Happy New Year

Did you ring in the New Year last night? DH and I celebrated in our usual style. In bed by 11:00pm. We're such party animals.... All I could think of last night was giving many thanks to God for no migraines yesterday (after a three day run...), and getting up to make a card or two. In reality, I made three. Pretty soon, I've got to head upstairs and clean out the Christmas closet. We're planning on downsizing to a condo this Spring, and I need to make some hard decisions. But in truth, I'd rather play in my craft room and listen to the PBS series, Baseball, on the MLB channel. DH is watching for me.

So I guess it's time to get onto the cards, and then go upstairs. The first one is going into the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge, and also into Color Q.

And mine looks like this:

Poor lighting today. The blue is more green in real life, and closer to the Coastal Cabana shown... All MFT dies. The gold confetti paper was made with my Silhouette.

Next is a card for the As You See It Challenge, and also for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #28, where it's Anything but Christmas.

AYSIChallenge117

Mine is definitely not Christmassy!

All of the papers are from my scrap files. And except for the tag itself, they come from an ancient SU card. I just cut the bits and bobs apart. The flowers and sentiment are from Verve and a PTI ink, as well as the black Versafine ink. A few black enamel dots and a little black ribbon, and done.

And last but not least, is a card for the Share the Joy Sketch + CAS Challenge. I chose the CAS part, as opposed to the Sketch part. I will also pop this into the Inkspirational Challenge. This one will go out in the mail Monday to a friend.

This is mine:

The grid dp is a (no longer hoarded) piece of AC, which I cut with a ME die. Then a PPP flag die, upon which I stamped my TE image and sentiment. I colored the soup and 'soon' with Copics. EZPZ lemon squeezy. And that will about do it for today. I'll be off for the closet in a few minutes, unless I decide it can wait until tomorrow, and boy, that's sounding like a much better idea. Then I could do some commenting....Anyway, happy dances everyone!

Love the trio of cards. A big huge boo for the run of migraines. so sorry that the 15 day run didn't stay longer. Love that you were able to wake up and get crafty.

I have all four boys scrapbooks laying on the family room floor in front of me. Trying to get motivated to get layouts done, but would much rather do cards! Have to get the last year done for Ryan for sure since they'll be out for his graduation party this summer. Time is flying by.

Happy new year to you and your hubby. Keep us posted on the search for your new place.

I'm so sorry you suffered those horrid migraines, Bev ... wishing you another fortnight (at least) of freedom from them. Fabulous cards ... fun and cute (and souper!) get well ... soft, delicate, feminine blue hued birthday ... and cool, bold and graphic celebration (which could go to SSSW's party too!). I've made a MFT/CQ combo card too ... will post it tomorrow ... great minds?! Condo downsizing ... I'll be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers, my friend! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)

Lovely set of cards Bev. I like the way you've used black to lift the blues and whites of your second card. The light blue scallop edge on the horizontal is a fabulous detail. Thanks so much for joining us this week at As You See It.

All darling, but you got me with that last one, Bev!!! I cannot resist a pun-y card! Be well, my friend ... I'll start looking for condos on this side of our pond for you - hee hee!

I'm sorry that the YKW's returned, Bev, but glad they abated long enough for you to make these three wonderful cards. You've entered them in some new-to-me challenges so I'll have to check them out. I don't envy you downsizing. We did that 12 years ago and went down too small. Not a condo which is what DH would like (there aren't any in our small area) but not enough storage for me and all my decorating and crafts.

Wellllll you sure had a soup-er productive day! I just adore that first card with its cacophony of circles splaying out everywhere. And then it's followed by two MORE adorable cards. You know I'm such a sucker for puns. Hope your year started out with a bang!!

Oh Bev!! I am sorry about your migraines!! And I sure would rather be playing cards then downsizing Christmas stuff any day!! Better to downsize Christmas, though, then your crafty stuff. I LOVE your trio of cards. The first one is fabulous with the "confetti" background. The second one with the pretty blues-just lovely. The third one is my favorite, though. I LOVE that fun stamp and the sentiment. Would put a smile on my face if I received that and I was not feeling well!! Awesome cards!!

Oh my! Your trio of cards has me razzle-dazzled, Bev! Your first is a winner, winner for both the sketch and colour combination! The big celebrate: fantastic! Your swirly flowers on the second: charming! I need to use my Verve set more often. And the third: love, love and love! SOUP-er in every way! Our New Year's Eve was very quiet: supper, a movie and fast asleep before midnight! Party animals, the two of us! NOT! I hear you about preferring to play rather than clean/organize...you wouldn't believe the chores I've been neglecting *grin*

More migraines? What are we going to do with that head of yours pal? Sending healing energy your way!

Don't need to send creative energy cuz you got that covered!!! Three ah-mazing cards Bev! Really cool colors and 'confetti paper' on your first card - love the bold black strip that balances the large font perfectly!

2nd card - a STUNNER!!! Sooooo elegant, so soft & pretty. Love the wee bits of black.

3rd card - 'soup-er' sweet!!! I really, REALLY love the grid paper - so sharp and clean! Cutie-patootie sentiment too :)

Ukrainian Christmas celebrations tonight and tomorrow, then things should slow down! I need a nice long nap!

Happy new year to you!! I'm no party animal either and I was not only in bed by 11:00 but, according to my Fitbit, I was asleep by 11:00. I guess my partying days are over! So glad you were a bit crafty and created these. I'm in love with the "celebrate" card. I think I've got that same die so now you've given me an idea or two! I hope the migraines stay away and you can start the process of downsizing. Good luck with that and I'll say a prayer or two for you that your migraines stay far, far away!
